True education is training of both the head and the heart. It is better to be uneducated than ill-educated. An uneducated thief may steal goods from the train but an educated one may steal the entire train. We need to compete for knowledge and wisdom, not for grades. Knowledge is piling up facts, wisdom is simplifying them. One could have good grades and a degree and still not learn much. The most important thing one can learn is to “Learn to learn”. Educating mind without morals creates a menace in society.

In this regard our Faculty keeps students in touch with the real world, while providing the theoretical knowledge about your chosen electives. While every faculty member brings a unique perspective to the class room, they all share common characteristics.

Dr. Surendra Prasad (Principal)

Dr. Surendra Prasad is an eminent management professional and academician. After pursuing his studies in science, management and law, he went to become a Doctorate in Management from Osmania University

He has a wide experience in Pharmaceutical Industries. He worked as a Regional Sales Manager in Multi National Pharmaceutical Company for 14 years, thereafter he joined Osmania University as an assistant Professor at O.U. P.G. College, Vikarabad and shortly became, Head of the Department at O.U. P.G. College, Mahabubnagar where he served their for 11 years.

Dr. Surendra Prasad has Chaired many Regional and National seminars and delivered the keynote address. He research has been published in several National & International Journals. He is also a visiting faculty at Technology Management, O.U. and PGRRCDE, O.U. His vast experience in Marketing field and Academic, acts as a double edge weapon to his brilliant career.

Master of Business Administration

Full-time Masters course in Management.(Master of Business Administration-MBA).

Duration : 2 Years- 4 semesters

Course approved by AICTE and affiliated to Osmania University

Intake : 120 students per year.

Award of Degree : The degree will be awarded by Osmania University after passing their Internal and external semester examinations.

DAVID MEMORIAL INSTITUTE OF MANAGEMENT (DMIM) established in 1997 is being run under the aegis of David Memorial Education Society (DMES). The society has been at the forefront of delivering quality education by spreading across various verticals in the education sector starting from a number of High Schools along with Undergraduate courses in Commerce, Sciences, Teacher Training and Pharmacy.

Worldwide, the need for well-trained management graduates is growing exponentially. And, as good management education becomes a prerequisite for success, the ‘Where’ and ‘How’ this education is imparted has become the critical factor. We, at DMIM, realize this fact and have set ourselves the challenging task of providing a premium program which will not only ensure an entry into the corporate world, but assures far-reaching effect of promoting life-long success. Our program is designed by AICTE and Osmania University and is taught by leaders from the industry and academia. Faculty with a number of years’ experience having doctorate degree in management is behind the institute’s reputation as a progressive and disciplined management college.

DMIM is governed by a strong and competent board whose members are recognized globally. These individuals have converged together with a desire to deliver high quality and relevant management education to the new generation of future business leaders. Every day starts with prayer and meditation on the word of God providing a right mix of education and spirituality in the campus.

The program consists of four semesters with terminal examination being conducted at the end of each semester. The institute offers specialization in Marketing, Finance and Human Resource.

Most of the past students of the institute are well placed in reputed MNCs and Indian firms. Some of the students are settled in USA and other countries bringing laurels to the institute. Our past students are brand ambassadors and are instrumental in perpetuating the brand ”DMIM”.

Eligibility : The candidates seeking admission must have completed any undergraduate degree from recognised university with minimum 50% aggregate (45%for SC & ST). The admissions are through ICET conducted every year by the State government.

70 % of the seats are allotted to the meritorious students who clear ICET exam and balance 30% seats are reserved under management category to be offered to students based on merit as per undergraduate scores. Admissions under the management category are not eligible for Fee Reimbursement Scheme offered by the State Government.

David Memorial Institute of Management is located at Tarnaka Campus. The course is approved by AICTE and affiliated to Osmania University. The medium of instruction is English.

Vice Principal

Worked in consumer durable, machine tools and auto-component industries for over three decades both in public and private sector. Has experience in sales and marketing, EXIM, indigenisation, vendor development and production areas. Was associated with Japanese and British engineers’ from 1990-2004. From 2009, is into teaching management subjects to students of OU / JNTUH affiliated engineering and MBA institutions in Hyderabad. Haveinterests in teaching marketing, SCM, TQM, Operations management, Technology forecasting, e-Business and Entrepreneurship subjects.Is a keen researcher and has presented papers in national and International conferences.

Ms. Samatha Yamburi

Designation: Associate Professor

Mrs Samatha is an Associate Professor and the Head of the Dept. She is HRM specialist and completed her Masters from Osmania University. Has over 16 yrs of experience in industry and academics. A committed individual with 6 publication to her credit. He is presently pursuing her Ph.D from GITAM.


Ms. Asst.G. Salomy

Designation: Assistant Professor

Ms. Asst.G. Salomy, is an Asst. Prof in marketing, with a an MBA from Kakatiya University and M .Com from Osmania University. She has published 3 papers in National journals and NET qualified. She is presently pursuing her Ph.D from Osmania University.

Mrs. SangeetaThakur

Designation: B.Com, MBA , DCA, DNCC Assistant Professor

Mrs Sangeeta is a Finance Major with over 16 yrs of experience in academics. She has presented over 14 papers in areas related to risk management, sustainability, banking and technology research. She is a recipient of several awards in recognition of her academic contributions and is also a resource person for the dept. of strategic management at Nizam College.

Designation: Assistant Professor

Z. Rhoda Priyanka Paul is asst. prof. in HRM is very passionate about grooming minds and exploring the world of academics. She over 3 yrs of experience and is presently enjoying mentoring students.

M.V. Sheeba

Ms Sheeba is a Technical Graduate and an MBA in Finance & HR, she is a highly charged individual who support all academic and non academic initiatives in the institute. She has a passion for cultural activities and is an active member of the college chapel events.
